SpaceX, the space, artificial intelligence, and social media company controlled by Elon Musk, will publish its first-quarter reports this evening after the close of trading on Wall Street. The average analyst forecast is for revenue of 6.93 billion dollars and a loss of 26 cents per share. The stock is currently jumping by 8.4% on Wall Street.

This is the first time the company is publishing reports since its massive IPO — the largest in history — in June. Since it began trading at a price of 150 dollars on June 12, the stock has lost 24% — wiping out about 500 billion dollars from its value. Furthermore, the stock price is almost 50% lower than the peak recorded on June 16.

In 2025, SpaceX recorded a loss of 4.9 billion dollars, mainly due to large investments in AI infrastructure. In February, Musk merged the space company with his artificial intelligence startup xAI — which a year earlier had merged with his social network X.

Most of SpaceX's revenues for this year, and its only source of profit, come from its connectivity services — the Starlink satellite internet — which are sold directly to consumers, as well as to government and military bodies. Analysts predict that the company's revenues from the connectivity sector amounted to 3.83 billion dollars in the second quarter, revenues from the space sector stood at 835 million dollars, and from the artificial intelligence sector — at 2.18 billion dollars.
