Salary increases, bonuses and benefits: Good news for thousands of workers in Israel
A new collective agreement signed today at the Israel Nature and Parks Authority includes a signing bonus, a permanent salary increase, recognition of professional seniority, and additional benefits for approximately 2,200 employees.
The Histadrut HaMaof, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority workers' committee, and the management of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority signed a new collective agreement today, which includes a series of salary increases, bonuses, and financial benefits for approximately 2,200 employees of the Authority.
As part of the agreement, a one-time signing bonus of 1,000 shekels was established. In addition, monthly employees will receive a permanent salary and pension increase of up to 400 shekels, depending on their grade and rank.
The agreement also includes recognition of the employees' previous professional seniority, including seniority accumulated in the private sector, for the purpose of determining their salary. Furthermore, an excellence bonus, a clothing budget, compensation for field activities and operations, and arrangements and benefits regarding vehicles were agreed upon.
Additionally, special salary increases were set for employees in senior management positions, site management, regional management, and middle management. Special increases will also be given to ecologists and veterinarians.
Alongside the changes in salary terms and benefits, the agreement includes understandings intended to increase job security and the status of the Authority's employees, as well as to improve their welfare conditions.
Advocate Gil Bar-Tal, Chairman of the Histadrut HaMaof, stated:
"The employees of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority are at the forefront of protecting our natural values, landscapes, and heritage. They work throughout the year to protect nature reserves, national parks, and animals, to make nature sites accessible to the general public, and to ensure that we can enjoy them safely during vacations, weekends, holidays, and regular days."
Bar-Tal added: "The agreement is an expression of appreciation for the important and dedicated work of all the employees who devote their lives to protecting the precious natural assets of us all."
