Man Killed in Ashkelon Violence as Police Investigate Jaffa Murder
A man in his 30s was killed in a violent incident in Ashkelon overnight, while police arrested a suspect in a separate Jaffa murder case earlier this week.
A man in his 30s was killed overnight in a violent incident on Yefe Nof Street in Ashkelon. Magen David Adom medical teams found the man lying on the sidewalk unconscious and without signs of life, and were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.
MDA paramedic Hila Bizawi stated that they were led to the man who was lying on the pavement following what appeared to be a violent altercation. He was unresponsive, without a pulse or breathing, and after resuscitation efforts, medical staff had no choice but to declare his death.
Earlier this week, the Israel Police announced the opening of a murder investigation following a fatal incident on Rubinstein Street in Jaffa, where a 28-year-old man was killed. A suspect in his 20s was arrested in connection with the case.
According to the suspicion, the victim was shot and subsequently evacuated to Wolfson Medical Center for treatment, where his death was pronounced. Tel Aviv District police forces conducted searches for suspects and gathered evidence at the scene, leading to the arrest of the young suspect who was transferred to the Tel Aviv Central Unit for further interrogation.
