Ministry of Health Bans Swimming in Several Northern Streams Due to Pollution
The Ministry of Health has banned swimming in several northern streams following high bacterial pollution levels detected in water samples.
The Ministry of Health announced abnormal results from water sampling conducted on September 16 in northern streams.
Several streams showed bacterial pollution levels exceeding the recommended threshold, prompting authorities to ban entry to the water in these sections until stable, normal sampling results are received.
The affected streams and sections include parts of the Snir (Hatzbani), the Jordan River from Yosef Bridge to Arik Bridge, Meshushim Pool, and several others across the northern region.
Public health could be at risk upon entering these waters, and the restrictions will remain in force until consecutive clean water samples are recorded.
