Amazon and Apollo Power: Israeli Project in France Worth 2 Million Shekels
Israeli cleantech company Apollo Power will build a solar system at an Amazon logistics center in France, a move that could lead to further projects across Europe.

The company Apollo Power reports another step in deepening its strategic cooperation with the technology and retail giant Amazon in Europe. The Israeli company has received an order from Amazon Europe to build a solar canopy system for a parking lot at the company's logistics center in France, with a financial scope of approximately 2 million shekels.
As part of the project, Apollo Power will be responsible for all stages of construction, from the planning and engineering phase to the installation of the system and its connection to the power grid. The system will be based on the light and flexible solar panels developed by the company, a solution designed for installation in locations where conventional solar panels are not suitable.
The project comes against the backdrop of new regulation in France, which requires the installation of solar canopies on at least 50 percent of the area of large parking lots exceeding 1,500 square meters. The law is expected to be implemented gradually between 2026 and 2028, creating significant demand for such solar solutions.
According to the company, Amazon has at least seven other sites in France that may be suitable for similar implementation in accordance with regulatory requirements. In addition, the parties are examining the possibility of expanding their activities and building additional systems at other Amazon sites across Europe.
For Apollo Power, this is a move of significant business importance, as cooperation with a global company like Amazon reinforces its technological and operational capabilities. Beyond the income from the current project, the engagement may open the door to additional orders and the expansion of the company's activity in the European market.
The move also demonstrates how environmental regulation in Europe is becoming a business opportunity for renewable energy companies. The demand for reducing emissions and increasing the use of clean energy creates a need for new solutions, especially in areas with infrastructure limitations. Apollo Power's solution, based on flexible and light panels, may be particularly suitable for projects of this type and become a significant growth engine for the company in the coming years.
