Ancient Acre Launches Spectacular Night Show and Full-Day Tourism Experience
Ancient Acre unveils a new video-mapping night show at the Crusader Citadel, transforming a historical daytime trip into a full-day immersive tourism experience.

Ancient Acre (Akko) is a city that functions as a living museum, offering thousands of years of history, picturesque alleys, a vibrant market, a bustling port, local cuisine, and impressive fortifications. A new evening experience now turns a visit to the city into a full-day excursion, culminating in a stunning night-time audio-visual show.
The New Night Show at the Crusader Citadel
Initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and the Old Acre and Nazareth Development Company, the new night show transforms the ancient stone walls of the Crusader Citadel into a massive, living screen using advanced video-mapping technology. For approximately 35 minutes, visitors embark on a visual journey through the various eras that shaped Acre's history, spanning from antiquity through the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Muslim, and Crusader periods, all the way to the modern State of Israel.
"The show features no narration or spoken words. The entire story is conveyed through imagery, movement, light, and music, making the experience accessible to all ages and languages."
Historic Sites and Family Adventures
Before evening falls, visitors can dedicate a full day to exploring Acre's rich heritage. Mornings can begin at the Knights' Halls in the heart of the Crusader Citadel, where an underground world of vast chambers and stone pillars awaits. Families can enhance their visit with an interactive audio game hosted by Yuval Malhi, which guides children and parents through riddles and missions while exploring the 800-year-old halls.
Further exploration leads to the Templar Tunnel, the Turkish Bath, and the Ramchal Synagogue and Heritage Center, offering a deep dive into the city's Ottoman and Jewish history. Between sites, travelers can wander through the colorful market, sample local cuisine, or enjoy a boat ride around the ancient sea walls before returning to the citadel for the breathtaking night spectacle.
