A civilian employee of the IDF, a 49-year-old resident of Rehovot, was arrested in Eilat on suspicion of committing a series of sexual offenses and indecent acts against several girls at a hotel pool. According to the investigation, he approached the girls, offered them alcohol, and performed acts without their consent.

One of the complainants described the incident, telling 'Mako':

'He entered the pool, unfastened my swimsuit, and forcibly kissed me on the lips.'

She added that he then offered her alcohol. Other girls stated in their testimonies that the suspect harassed them, touched them, or pressed himself against them, forcing them to flee the scene. According to the investigation materials, the complainants include a minor under the age of 14.

The suspect denied the allegations during his interrogation, though he admitted to consuming alcohol before the incident. His defense attorney argued that he has no criminal record and lacked criminal intent, but his request for house arrest was denied.

The Magistrate's Court in Eilat ordered his detention to be extended to continue the investigation. In her ruling, the judge noted that the number of complainants and the nature of the acts attributed to the suspect indicate a significant danger at this stage, requiring further investigative steps and input from the State Attorney's Office.
