Fourth Stone-Throwing Attack on Bus in Afula in Ten Days Sparks Fear

Unidentified individuals hurled stones at a Superbus company bus in the Azrieli quarter of Afula on Saturday evening, causing heavy damage to the windows. No injuries were reported, but this marks the fourth stone-throwing incident targeting buses in the city within a ten-day period.

The incident took place at night while line 13 was operating on its regular route. Youths hiding in the dark threw stones at the bus, shattering its glass. The journey ended without physical casualties, but substantial damage was inflicted on the vehicle. Following the string of incidents, drivers report fearing for their safety during night shifts.

The Koach LaOvdim transport workers union committee responded to the repeated attacks, stating that without severe punishment, severe harm to staff or passengers is only a matter of time. The organization noted that drivers want to provide service but refuse to work under mortal danger, adding that a lack of enforcement and manpower abandons workers in the field.
