Sex offense case at a prestigious Tel Aviv school: Indictment filed against teacher
According to the indictment, Muhammad al-Naqib, a resident of Lod in his 20s who worked as a math teacher, committed severe sexual offenses against a 12-year-old student. The prosecution is requesting his detention until the end of the trial.
An indictment was filed today, Monday, against Muhammad al-Naqib, a teacher from the central region accused of committing sexual offenses against a 12-year-old student.
Al-Naqib, a resident of Lod in his 20s, served as a mathematics teacher and was arrested several weeks ago on suspicion of committing severe sexual offenses against a student at a prestigious high school in Tel Aviv-Yafo. Adv. Rotem Sari, the suspect's defense attorney, previously claimed during a detention hearing: "These were consensual acts."
The State Attorney's Office filed the indictment at the Tel Aviv District Court, through Adv. Lilach Stiebel of the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office, along with a request to keep al-Naqib in custody until the end of the legal proceedings.
Following the publication of the affair, the school principal addressed parents in a message, stating: "The teacher was in his first year of employment at the school. Throughout his tenure, no complaints or information were received indicating any unusual incidents within the framework of his work. I am shocked by this news and fully understand the feelings of concern and turmoil it arouses."
