First of all: a stunning apple cake by Karin Goren, which gives the most respect in the world to this fruit, which becomes the main star on Rosh Hashanah. And since we are talking about Karin Goren, we are so happy that she asked her friend Anat for her apple cake recipe, otherwise how would we have a recipe for a homemade, comforting cake, full of apples and pecans and a feeling of home?

An apple cake that was born in winter, but there is no season when you don't want to devour it. And the best part? Doing it while it's still warm. This is not really a regular apple cake, but a hybrid, and a very tasty one. And this is a completely regular cake, and also parve. But the texture and taste — a million dollars.

Do you like bars and apple cakes? This combination is just for you (and if you are into salted caramel, you are all set). A version no less tasty than the classic tarte tatin, only here the base is actually a regular cake. The main thing is that there is a shiny crown of caramelized apples on top.

Not exactly a cake, but close enough: apple bars with a layer of caramelized cinnamon apples and plenty of shortcrust pastry in between. You can't go wrong here. Another beautiful option for bars with strips of dough arranged over the filling in a lattice. And since we are talking about pans, of course, a Hungarian apple cake with buttery apples and, of course, cinnamon. A little powdered sugar on top and that's it.

For the next dessert, it is highly recommended to stock up on vanilla ice cream, and if you don't want dairy ice cream, then coconut sorbet will go very well with it. Next on the list is the apple cake that we prepared ourselves just this week, and therefore we can fully vouch for it. And then there is this cake, by Karin Goren, which has a cool feature: the apples are cooked a little in the microwave before they go into the dough. And this is a cake we have been making for years, and it never gets old.

And here is one from Benny Saida, from his recipe box. Cinnamon marble cake by Keren Agam, topped with a layer of apple cubes. We make this one when we want to be a little more festive. Do you have people in your family who think that if there is no chocolate, it's not a dessert? Then this is for them: recipe for apple and chocolate chip cake.

And this is a much more sophisticated apple cake, for the advanced (but don't worry, it's a recipe by Tom Franz so everything is fine). This cake is actually a strudel, just without the challenging parts. And since we are talking about dough that is not made from scratch, we have something for anyone who doesn't consider themselves a great baker: a galette-style tart made from malawach sheets. Last but not least: apple-crumb by Inbal Lavi.
