Hundreds of parents are protesting against the installation of solar systems on the roofs of educational institutions and are demanding to stop the work until safety measures and radiation tests are implemented. According to them, the response they received from the council is insufficient: "We are not against green energy - we are for our children."

In addition to a 15% tariff on polysilicon components, the order sets a minimum price that will increase the cost of components by about 40%, to strengthen the American industry, despite the fact that their project backlog is already covered by equipment ordered in advance.

The Knesset has approved a one-year exemption from the betterment levy for agro-voltaic facilities. This measure aims to promote renewable energy development while providing regulatory certainty for farmers.

The tariff received by solar roof owners is expected to decrease starting in 2027, though the exact figures remain undetermined. The current rate, ranging from 48 to 54 agorot per kWh, is considered high and is passed directly to electricity consumers.
