Shmuel Harlap

Shmuel Harlap, who controlled the car importer Colmobil, turned it into a dominant player in the local market with the Mitsubishi and Hyundai brands, as well as Chery and Omoda. He was among the early investors in Mobileye and made a successful exit upon its sale. At the same time, he was involved in extensive philanthropic activity.

Dr. Shmuel Harlap, who passed away this morning at the age of 82, stood for decades at the head of Colmobil, the largest automotive group in Israel. Alongside his business activities, he and his wife Anat managed extensive philanthropic work that included donations of hundreds of millions of shekels.
