Energy giant Shell is selling its 35% stake in the Aphrodite gas field in Cyprus to the Hungarian energy company MOL Group. The deal is valued at up to $720 million.

The energy company Shell is leaving the Aphrodite gas reservoir and selling its holdings to the MOL Group in a deal that reflects a valuation of over two billion dollars for the reservoir. All gas produced is intended for export to Egypt.
