Sara Maimoni, who was forced into marriage at 15, was arrested during a police raid on targets linked to the ultra-Orthodox sect she publicly opposes. She is suspected of organizing a wedding for her 16-year-old daughter, but denies the allegations, claiming they are retaliation by sect leaders.

The chair of the Committee for the Advancement of the Status of Women, Merav Cohen, arrived uninvited to a Yavne'el council meeting after the council head skipped Knesset discussions. Cohen criticized the welfare department, noting that child marriages continue in the community.
