Andrey Klepach submitted a report in which he argued that Ukraine is not going to collapse and that Moscow's economy is on the way to a "social crisis and a major lag behind the West". The head of the state investment corporation in Russia immediately ordered the dismissal of the chief economist.

President Vladimir Putin has given the green light to sell 30.4% of the government's shares in Sheremetyevo Airport. However, Russia is expected to retain the "golden share" to block management decisions.
