Qatargate

The State Attorney's Office is awaiting a Mossad opinion to determine if the 'Qatargate' affair poses a risk to national security. Mossad Director Roman Gofman has recused himself from the case due to personal ties with the individuals involved, appointing another official to oversee the matter.

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara is expected to rule that the indictment in the 'Qatargate' affair will include security offenses. Indictments are expected against Yonatan Urich and Eli Feldstein.

Knesset member Gilad Kariv appealed to the Attorney General following a report in "HaYom". "If the reports are true, this is a very serious escalation in the affair, raising concerns that individuals operating in the Prime Minister's closest circle exploited their access to sensitive security information to leak it to a foreign state."
