Plea Bargain

The Haifa District Court sentenced Fares Asleh to 11.5 years in prison in a plea deal for assisting in the murder of his cousin Salah Asleh, dropping premeditated murder charges.

Nine members of the "Al-Asmar" gang were convicted as part of a plea bargain for conspiracy to commit murder. According to the amended indictment, they planned a series of liquidations as part of a conflict with the "Sabichat" gang; the agreed sentences reach up to three years in prison.

The Ma'ale Adumim local court denied a request by a Har Adar couple to cancel a plea bargain regarding an illegal home-garage business. The judge ruled the agreement was valid and dismissed claims of selective enforcement.
