Nidal Daghar was sentenced to life in prison plus four years and fined 258,000 shekels for the aggravated murder of Rasha Sityawi in Maghar. The court ruled that forcing her young daughter to witness the execution warrants a separate consecutive sentence for child abuse.

The police announced today that they have arrested suspects in the murder of Farid Mazlavat in the city of Maghar in June, following a two-month investigation. The suspects, residents of Maghar, Arraba, and Wadi Salama, were taken for questioning and will be brought to court for a remand hearing. The court has issued a gag order on their names.
