Today, the family of Itamar Cohen from Karmiel marks his 22nd birthday at a memorial site they established near their home. His father, Eyal Cohen, said they began the morning with a memorial ceremony and will continue the day by visiting the cemetery to light a candle in his honor.

The young lifeguard, Ryder, was filmed diving into the water to save a child swept away by strong waves off the coast of California. For long minutes, the two struggled against the current until another lifeguard arrived to assist.
