Confiscation

As part of an investigation against a resident of Rahat, police and enforcement authorities raided a logistics complex suspected of being used to conceal goods. Two trucks and two forklifts worth millions of shekels were seized at the site. An illegal resident who tried to escape after getting off a forklift was detained for questioning.

Police forces and the Land Enforcement Authority raided a business and seized dozens of keys to additional vehicles. The operation was carried out following a court order, as authorities are now advancing a procedure for a heavy fine against the site's owners.

The container was confiscated on one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, which connects China to the West. "Any attempt to export goods to Israel - directly or indirectly - contrary to the law and government regulations, will be dealt with severely," threatened the local border guard.
