Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot sharply rejected Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas's call for Israeli recognition of a Palestinian state. Eisenkot pledged that such a state would not be established under any government he helps form.

The Likud slogan "a broad national government" broadcasts a message of monarchy in the British style – the politicians change, the king remains. Meanwhile, it appears that it is the opposition parties that will be able to form a broad national government.

Mansour Abbas should not settle for an entry ticket to the club, but rather change the conditions for admission to it.
