Aharon Barak

Tom Landes, grandson of Prof. Aharon Barak and son of media executive Ram Landes, married Amit in a star-studded daytime wedding uniting Israel's legal, tech, and media elites.

The second part of "The Jurists' Rebellion" examines the moments when legal theory met the complex Israeli reality — in the security field and the political arena. The episode reveals how the revolution led by Aharon Barak changed not only the judicial system, but also the way the State of Israel defends itself.

In a proper democratic state, the order is clear: the public elects the legislator, the legislator sets the law, and the judge interprets it. However, the premiere episode of the series "The Jurists' Rebellion" argues that in Israel, over decades, this order has been reversed — quietly, without official announcements, and without the public being invited to participate in the process.
