Israel's Legal and Media Elites Gather for High-Profile Wedding of Tom Landes
Tom Landes, grandson of Prof. Aharon Barak and son of media executive Ram Landes, married Amit in a star-studded daytime wedding uniting Israel's legal, tech, and media elites.

A high-profile wedding brought together figures from Israel's legal elite, media, and tech industry as Tom Landes married his partner Amit in a festive daytime celebration. As first reported by journalist Leora Goldberg-Stern in Maariv's TMI column, the event took place on Friday in a relaxed autumn atmosphere, drawing family and friends to celebrate the young couple.
The wedding united prominent figures from the economy, government, and the Supreme Court under one roof. This rare gathering of the nation's power centers was driven by the groom's extraordinary family background, which bridges legal giants and leaders of the hightech and media industries.
A Dynasty of Law and Media
On one side of the family stands the proud grandfather, Prof. Aharon Barak, one of the most influential figures in Israeli legal history. An Israel Prize laureate in jurisprudence, Barak served as Attorney General in the 1970s and later as a Supreme Court justice and its president from 1995 to 2006. His legacy, including the constitutional revolution, remains at the center of public discourse.
On the other side is the groom's father, Ram Landes, a veteran media executive and creator. Landes served as a senior editor at Yedioth Ahronoth and Channel 2 News, later founding Channel 10 News and Kastina Communications. The groom's mother, Adv. Esther Barak-Landes, is a prominent tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist, completing a unique fusion of Israel's elite spheres.
