Zelensky Condemns Russian Drone Attack on Civilian Grain Ship in Black Sea

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky strongly condemned a shocking Russian drone attack on a civilian vessel carrying corn in the Black Sea. According to Zelensky, the ship's captain was killed in the strike carried out by two drones, and another crew member is missing.

Romania confirmed it launched a rescue operation after a fire broke out aboard the vessel outside its territorial waters. The vessel sank about 30 nautical miles south of the port of Sfântu Gheorghe, resulting in casualties. Russia has not officially commented on the incident, but its defense ministry earlier reported targeting cargo vessels.

Zelensky stressed that the Russian attack targeted a civilian vessel in neutral waters carrying corn and owned by Turkey. He called for international pressure to restore global food security amid escalating tensions in the region.
