Hapoel Tel Aviv held the "Yachad LeOlam" memorial ceremony at the Shlomo Group Arena, marking three years since the October 7 massacre. The event honored the memory of the fallen and murdered, celebrating the heroism of those no longer with us. Hapoel fans and bereaved families gathered for an evening of remembrance and sorrow, sharing the stories of the victims.
During the ceremony, President Isaac Herzog delivered an encouraging message to the attendees. Club owners Ofer Yanai and Gili Raanan, along with team symbols Bar Timor and Tomer Ginat, also addressed the audience. Commemorative video segments were screened throughout the evening to honor the victims.
Club owner Ofer Yanai reflected on the tragedy: "Black Saturday was a difficult, bitter, and painful event. When we won the EuroCup and flew back, I stayed behind. I told them their first mission would be to take the trophy to the graves of our fans who didn't live to see it with their own eyes."
Team captain Bar Timor added: "We stand here today as one family to pause, remember, and commemorate. October 7 is a day that cannot be forgotten. As Hapoel Tel Aviv's captain, I know how much power our community has when we stand together. We will never forget, and we will carry this memory with us always."
