From Butchery to Burgers: Historic Yuzi Family Opens White in Kiryat Ono
The historic Yuzi butchery in Kiryat Ono has expanded into the burger scene with its new eatery, White, offering carefully aged beef and wagyu burgers.
The butcher burger trend in Israel continues to expand. Following new spots like Jagger, Butch in Kfar Shmaryahu, and Bono in Emek Hefer, a new burger joint named White has opened in Kiryat Ono.
A Legacy of Butchery
Located in the Rimon Commercial Center, White is operated by the historic Yuzi butchery, which has been active since 1952. The family business was founded 74 years ago by Yuzi Kubo, an immigrant from Bulgaria. Despite the commercial center being hit by an Iranian missile in March 2026, the new burger joint has successfully opened right across from the family's original butcher shop.
The Art of the Butcher Burger
Ofer Yuzi, the founder's grandson, is not worried about competition from nearby Jagger. He personally selects, cuts, and ages the meat for his patties. Instead of standard brioche buns, White uses a custom bun seared on a grill with beef tallow to prevent it from soaking through and falling apart.
I am not looking to make things easy for myself because I want a product at the maximum level, says Ofer regarding his choice to grill each patty slowly rather than using a flat top.
The menu features a classic 200-gram beef burger and a richer wagyu version served with beer-battered onion rings. Ofer emphasizes that controlling the entire supply chain, from selecting the cuts to the final grill, ensures an exceptionally high standard.
