Yossi Dagan on the attempted assassination of Katz: 'The enemy understands that we have returned to Samaria'
Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan responded to the attempted assassination of Defense Minister Israel Katz during the Ganim settlement ceremony: 'The enemy understands that the return to northern Samaria is changing the reality. We will establish even more settlements.'

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan responded today, Thursday, to the attempted assassination of Defense Minister Israel Katz, who participated in the ceremony for the establishment of the settlement of Ganim: 'The enemy understands that the return to northern Samaria is changing the reality. We will establish even more settlements.'
Following the report by military correspondent Hillel Biton Rosen that the terrorist cell neutralized last night in Jenin planned to target Katz during the ceremony, Yossi Dagan stated:
'The attempt to strike specifically at the Ganim establishment ceremony proves how much the enemy understands the strategic significance of the return to northern Samaria. They understand that strong Jewish settlement changes the reality and strengthens the security of the State of Israel. Our answer is clear: we will not be deterred and we will not stop. 21 years after the expulsion, we returned today to Ganim, and we will establish even more settlements in northern Samaria. In the place where terror tries to harm us, we will strike it with force, we will build more, we will settle more, and we will deepen our roots. Terror will not determine where Jews will live in the Land of Israel.'
