Yosef Haddad Slams Yair Golan: "This Is a Red Line, a Shame and a Disgrace"

With elections approaching and more than a year after the incident, Yair Golan's statement that "a sane country does not kill babies as a hobby" continues to haunt him. Advocacy activist Yosef Haddad launched a sharp attack against the chairman of the Democrats, posting a scathing message on his Facebook account.

Haddad's remarks come against the backdrop of an article in the British newspaper "The Telegraph," which cited Yair Golan's statements and noted that he is a candidate for Prime Minister of Israel.

Accompanying a video he uploaded, Haddad wrote: "Even more than a year later, the damage from the information terror attack committed by Yair Golan continues!" In the video itself, he stated:

"This information terror attack continues to echo and haunt us. There is almost no interview in the foreign media where I am not asked about it. The damage that this political statement has done in the world is simply enormous—from human rights organizations and senior politicians to media outlets everywhere. This is a fire that has spread against the State of Israel, and even a thousand advocacy activists will not be able to extinguish it."

Haddad continued:

"Every soldier and fighter in the IDF knows how false this statement is and that it does not reflect reality. But when people in the world see a Major General in the reserves who served as Deputy Chief of Staff speaking like this, for them, it is a winning card. No matter how he tried to justify or evade it, the facts speak for themselves."

Haddad concluded: "It is possible to fight politically and argue about the path, but to harm the image of the country and the soldiers of the IDF for political gain is a red line. It is a shame and a disgrace."
