An unusual incident occurred during a live broadcast of the joint program hosted by Yinon Magal and Ben Caspit. The hosts found themselves in a heated confrontation sparked by criticism directed at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Ben Caspit, one of the Prime Minister's sharpest critics, pointed to his long-standing claims that he would bring down the Hamas terror organization—a promise that stands in stark contrast to the failure of October 7.
"In 2009, he promised to bring down Hamas’s rule after voting four times in favor of the disengagement. He said: 'When I come to power, I will bring down Hamas’s rule.' It didn’t help, meaning he is responsible…" Ben Caspit stated.
At that moment, Yinon Magal reached for the broadcast technician’s console to manually silence his co-host. This prompted an immediate intervention from the program editor, who stepped in to address Magal’s behavior.
"No, no, no, Yinon, don’t get close to the technician. It doesn’t work like that," the editor said. Magal insisted on silencing Caspit, threatening: "If you don’t shut his mouth, I’ll shut his mouth." The editor surprised listeners by responding: "Okay, I’ll shut his mouth. I’m not intervening, but take your hands off the technician. Take your hands off; this doesn’t go on air. We don’t conduct ourselves like that."
Magal continued: "Ben, I’ll shut your mouth. You keep going, I’ll shut your mouth." Caspit remained unfazed, retorting: "You can jump on me."
The confrontation deepened when the editor attempted to cut to a commercial break. "No, we’re not going to commercials. He wins if you cut to commercials now. I’ll speak now," Magal demanded. The editor did not yield: "He’s not winning; you’ll speak after the commercials."
