Yair Lapid to file lawsuit against Channel 14: "A bunch of toxic lunatics"

The sharp confrontation between opposition leader Yair Lapid and Channel 14 is reaching a boiling point: Lapid has announced his intention to file a lawsuit against the channel following remarks made on the program "The Patriots," where an interview he gave to the American network CNN was discussed.
During the discussion, panel members addressed Lapid's statements regarding settler violence in Judea and Samaria. In the interview, Lapid stated that "Jewish terrorism is a moral and security disgrace and must be dealt with without hesitation."
As part of the broadcast, panelist Itamar Fleischmann claimed that Lapid's words could have dangerous consequences for Jews in the United States. According to him, antisemitic elements use such statements to spread anti-Jewish messages and encourage violence. Fleischmann even alleged that Lapid is "helping the Nazis," comparing his conduct to collaboration with antisemitic propaganda.
In response, Lapid published a post on his X account:
"The Nazis murdered my grandfather and half of my family. My father was in the ghetto. A bunch of toxic lunatics. I am going to sue you for everything you have."
