Yair Golan Files Defamation Lawsuit Against Sara Netanyahu Over October 7 Claims
The Democrats leader Yair Golan filed a 2.5 million shekel defamation lawsuit against Sara Netanyahu after she suggested he had prior knowledge of the October 7 massacre.

The leader of 'The Democrats', Yair Golan, has launched a blistering critique against Sara Netanyahu following her recent interview on Channel 14. Golan strongly condemned her remarks regarding the October 7 massacre and his actions on that morning.
Legal Action and Defamation Lawsuit
Golan recently filed a 2.5 million shekel defamation lawsuit against the prime minister's wife. The legal move comes after Sara Netanyahu suggested during her interview that Golan allegedly had prior knowledge of the October 7 attack.
"The idea is that the failure does not rest on the prime minister's shoulders, but that there was a betrayal from within," Golan stated during an interview with Reshet Bet. "This abhorrent lie is an insult to everyone who saved lives on October 7."
Demands and Counterclaims
The lawsuit emphasizes that the statements made by the prime minister's wife could incite violence against Golan and endanger his life amid rising threats. Prior to filing the lawsuit, Golan's legal team issued a warning letter.
In response, Sara Netanyahu rejected the accusations as wild lies and demanded an apology, public clarification, and financial compensation over previous incidents, threatening a countersuit if her demands were not met.
