Journalist and Channel 14 commentator Yaakov Bardugo has officially joined the Likud party list, securing the 11th spot ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections scheduled for October 27. As political parties ramp up their campaigns, the ruling party released a promotional video featuring Bardugo.

"I am Yaakov Bardugo, a lawyer and media fighter, proud to join the Likud list," Bardugo declared in the video. He spoke about his upbringing in Lod, his late parents who immigrated from Morocco in 1948, and his desire to bring about significant change alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Later, appearing on Channel 14, Bardugo discussed his decision and a proposed legislative initiative he intends to advance. Under his proposal, once a candidate is included on a Knesset list, authorities would be barred from opening new investigations against them regarding actions committed prior to their candidacy.
