IDF Deploys Forces Following Suspected Drone Alert in Western Galilee
Security forces and helicopters were deployed to the Western Galilee following a drone infiltration alert near the Lebanese border on Saturday evening.
An alert regarding a suspected drone infiltration was activated on Saturday evening in the Western Galilee community of Arab al-Aramshe, near the Lebanese border. It was later clarified that the warning was triggered due to the detection of an unidentified object approaching from Lebanon.
The IDF stated that it has not yet been determined whether an object actually crossed the border, but large forces were deployed to a series of communities to rule out any infiltration. Troops were dispatched to Aramshe, Adamit, Ya'ara, Goren, Hanita, Shlomi, Gesher HaZiv, Saar, Kabri, Avdon, Betzet, Liman, Nahariya, Evron, Ben Ami, Matzuva, and Rosh HaNikra, alongside aerial support from helicopters.
The Northern Command stated that ground searches are ongoing alongside aerial units, and reinforcement forces have been deployed to the area. There are no special instructions for residents as civilian routine continues, while security forces work to rule out any hostile activity.
