An explosive shipment destined for Hezbollah was intercepted and seized in Lebanon on Saturday. According to source reports, the shipment contained explosives, nails, and metal balls, and two detained operatives confessed they intended to transfer the equipment to the organization's stronghold in Beirut.

The smuggling network operated in the eastern part of the country, where a senior Hezbollah official known as "Sajed" transferred the explosive shipment to two operatives in the Baalbek area. The two, belonging to the Amhaz and al-Lilaki clans, were captured along with the cargo on their way to complete the mission.

The seized shipment contained explosive materials combined with nails and metal balls intended to increase shrapnel damage. The two arrested operatives were interrogated and confessed that they received clear instructions to transport the equipment to a specific target in the Dahiyeh of Beirut.

The investigation revealed that the final destination of the shipment was a Hezbollah figure known as "Dhu al-Fiqar." Uncovering the transfer route from Baalbek to Dahiyeh indicates the organization's attempts to continue transferring weaponry between its activity hubs within the country's borders.
