Two Killed and Six Injured in Weekend Traffic Accidents Across Israel
Two people were killed and six others injured in severe traffic accidents over the weekend. Victims include a four-year-old child in critical condition and multiple motorists in serious condition.
A series of severe traffic accidents across the country over the weekend left two people dead and six others injured.
On Saturday, a 45-year-old man was killed on Route 553 near Moshav Porat. MDA medical teams arriving at the scene found the man with multi-system trauma and no signs of life, and were forced to pronounce him dead.
This followed an incident on Friday night, where a 48-year-old motorcycle rider was killed on Route 7 at the Sorek Interchange. Additionally, a 4-year-old child was struck by a vehicle, reportedly near his home's parking lot in Pisgat Ze'ev. He was evacuated to the hospital in critical condition, with no pulse and not breathing.
Severe Collisions and Rescues
On Friday, a collision between two vehicles occurred on Route 3755 near Har Gilo. A man in his 50s was seriously injured, while two others sustained light and moderate injuries. Two of the victims were trapped inside the vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters.
Near the Caesarea port, a 30-year-old man was seriously injured in a road accident and evacuated to the hospital with multi-system trauma.
In Netanya, a motorcyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car. MDA paramedic Orian Lukac and senior EMT Maor Nino from the MDA motorcycle unit reported:
"This was a severe road accident. We were told the motorcyclist was hit by a car. He was unconscious and suffering from a severe head injury. We provided medical treatment and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care mobile to the hospital in serious condition."
