Washington promised Hamas: Netanyahu committed to withdrawal from Gaza and implementation of the agreement | Report

Washington has directly committed to Hamas that it will not allow Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to sabotage the agreement, and that it will compel him to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and implement it — this was reported today, Friday, by the Saudi outlet Al-Hadath, citing Arab sources. It was further claimed that the administration at the White House informed the terrorist organization that it is a guarantor of the agreement.

The report comes shortly after the publication of the roadmap for the peace plan in Gaza with all its clauses, and a clarification by a political source regarding this:

"There will be no withdrawal of the IDF from the current yellow line without a real disarmament of Hamas."

In doing so, the source was referring to various reports from the morning that pointed to political progress in the Gaza Strip, after Hamas announced its agreement to the peace plan.

According to growing assessments in Jerusalem, Hamas will violate the agreement itself and will not disarm. Alongside this, Netanyahu is not expected to oppose the move, because the Prime Minister "does not want to be presented as such to the Americans." In any case, the assessment in Israel is that there is no expectation of the withdrawals mentioned in the agreement, at least until the elections.

According to sources who spoke with Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath, the American administration conveyed to Hamas, in a phone call held with one of the mediators and in the presence of a delegation from the organization, a commitment to ensure the principle of reciprocity in the implementation of the peace agreement in the Gaza Strip, and not to allow Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to thwart the process.

It was further stated in the Saudi report that Washington clarified it would compel Israel to implement the clauses of the agreement, including the withdrawal and the completion of the other obligations that were agreed upon.

According to the sources, the implementation of the agreement will not be simple, and it may encounter difficulties and obstacles in the coming stages. However, the American administration, and in particular envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, clarified that the United States will not withdraw from the agreement and will serve as a guarantor for its implementation.

Earlier today, the full roadmap for the implementation of the agreement was revealed, after Hamas announced its agreement to the comprehensive peace plan of US President Donald Trump for Gaza.

The document details the political, security, and civil stages that will be required from the parties — including the transfer of power in the Strip to a new Palestinian committee, the gradual disarmament of the organizations, the deployment of an international force, and a gradual withdrawal of IDF forces from the Gaza Strip.
