Severe violence in Kfar Yona: Three young women attacked a young man over a parking dispute

An indictment was filed against three young women who attacked Tohar David in Kfar Yona. The attack was carried out with clubs and an iron rod following a parking dispute with a Shin Bet officer. David was evacuated to Meir Hospital with bruises and bleeding on his head. The Shin Bet officer was questioned on suspicion of ordering the attack and was sent to house arrest.

Tohar David, 25, was attacked this week by three young women in Kfar Yona following a dispute between him and a Shin Bet officer over parking. The violent and severe incident was documented by shocked passersby. The incident occurred in Kfar Yona on Sunday, near midnight. Three young women in their 20s, residents of the city, were documented beating Tohar with clubs and an iron rod. Later, they smashed the windshield and windows of his vehicle. The four had no prior acquaintance.

Neighbors documented the unusual violence, as one of the young women continued to strike Tohar David repeatedly, who stood shocked and helpless. The neighbors called the police to summon help. Tohar David, bruised on his head, was evacuated to Meir Hospital, where he received medical treatment to stop the bleeding.

Tohar David told about the difficult case:

"I arrived in Kfar Yona, suddenly a car came and blocked me. Three girls came out of the car with drawn clubs. Luckily, a friend was with me who filmed the case. If not, no one would have believed me until now, because who would believe that three girls with drawn clubs beat me to death?"

Police officers of the Sharon District arrested the three young women. In the investigation, one of them said that David entered into an argument with her sister, a Shin Bet officer, over parking, attacked and humiliated her sister – and that she and her friend decided to settle a score with him. Tohar claimed in response: "I did not threaten and did not curse. In the end, it is just parking, there are a thousand more parking spaces in the country. I do not need to threaten or curse for this, I just told her 'shame on you'."

An indictment was filed today against the three young women for violence, including counts of assault, causing injury, and intentional damage. The investigating unit requested to extend their detention. Furthermore, Shlomi Malka, who represents Tohar, said:

"My client is a victim of a severe and planned act of violence, which could have ended in an even more serious result. We welcome the fact that the investigation matured into the filing of an indictment, and at this stage, the defendants are in custody. Now we expect the legal process to be conducted with determination, and that the severity of the acts attributed to the defendants will receive the full appropriate weight."

The Shin Bet officer was questioned under caution on suspicion of ordering the attack. She denied it and was sent to house arrest for several days. Later, it will be decided whether to file an indictment against her as well.
