The Israeli chip company Xsight Labs has reached a significant milestone: the company has raised approximately $300 million at a valuation of about $2.8 billion. The sharp jump in valuation—five times higher than the $500 million valuation in the 2021 funding round—follows strong business growth and the signing of strategic commercial agreements.

The current funding round is led by prominent Wall Street entities closely connected to the technology industry, including the investment fund Fidelity and Gavin Baker's Atreides Management. Both are long-standing investors in Xsight Labs and other ventures led by serial chip entrepreneur Avigdor Willenz, who serves as the founding investor and Chairman of the Board.

A central factor behind this dramatic funding is the acquisition of significant clients in the cloud and infrastructure sector. At the forefront is Starlink, the satellite internet arm of Elon Musk's SpaceX.

"As part of the collaboration, Starlink chose the advanced switching chips of Xsight Labs (from the X2 series) for integration into its new generation satellites (V3)," the company stated.

These chips manage the analysis and routing of data traffic in real-time, enabling a critical expansion of global network capacity. Xsight Labs, which operates from Kiryat Gat, specializes in the development of ultra-fast communication and switching chips (Switches). Its products are designed to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) workloads and ensure efficient connection between servers and memory arrays in advanced data centers. The uniqueness of the company's products lies in the ability of customers to fully program the chips according to the specific needs of their language and processing models, providing a competitive advantage over rigid off-the-shelf solutions.

This funding marks a positive turn for Xsight Labs, which has navigated management changes and efficiency measures in recent years. The capital provides the company with a broad economic horizon to expand development teams, increase production capacity, and deepen its penetration into the global cloud infrastructure and AI market.
