The trend of IV vitamin drips (IV wellness), which has become a viral phenomenon on TikTok and social media, is conquering the world of celebrities and influencers. Stars like Kendall Jenner, along with other influencers, are adopting this treatment that comes directly to the client's home, with promises of improving skin appearance, anti-aging, and a surge of energy.
Facing this viral and promising trend, Professor Eitan Friedman, director of the Institute of Genetics at Assuta, presented in an interview with the program "Ha-Olam Ha-Boker" an unequivocal medical position that shatters the illusion. He clarified in no uncertain terms that what is perceived by many as an advanced health treatment lacks any scientific basis or evidence.

Professor Friedman criticized the growing use of vitamin drips and various supplements for anti-aging or skin care purposes:
"There is no evidence that it improves quality of life."
Furthermore, Professor Friedman explained the mechanism behind the massive marketing of these treatments on social media, and emphasized the huge gap between the promises online and the medical reality on the ground: "You are giving hope and you are selling a trend."
