May Arav has revealed new details about her relationship with Erez Isakov following their time on the latest season of "Big Brother." The remarks were made during the premiere episode of Romi Gaior's new podcast, "Talk to Romi," released today, Wednesday, on the Speakers New House platform.
According to a report by Israel Bidur, Arav explained that the bond between her and Isakov continued well after they left the "Big Brother" house. She described them as very close friends who stayed in touch after the season ended, eventually deciding to explore whether their friendship could evolve into something more.
Arav shared that they attempted to date privately, choosing not to disclose the situation to the media. Both she and Isakov wanted to keep their efforts out of the spotlight, as the media pressure following their departure from the show was significant.
"I don't know if I would call it a relationship, but we tried to date and make it work," Arav said.
She noted that the post-season media noise, combined with pressure and intense interest from their social circles, made them want to avoid further exposure. When asked how long they tried to make it work, she replied: "We tried for a while—I don't remember exactly how long—but long enough to understand that it just wasn't right."
Arav explained that they ultimately realized their dynamic was not suited for romance. Despite the close bond formed during the show, they simply did not function well as a couple. She later used harsher terms to describe the experience:
"It's just a toxic relationship."
