"An unbearable stench of carcasses": Sanitary crisis at Tznobar base

IDF soldiers serving at the Tznobar base in the Golan Heights are criticizing the Northern Command's inaction regarding service conditions, specifically highlighting the state of the kitchens, as learned today (Tuesday) by Walla. Routinely, IDF regular and reserve units arrive at the base for training prior to operational activity.
According to the soldiers, the kitchens suffer from extreme neglect. One soldier explained that the kitchen complex consists of old containers:
"There is an unbearable stench of carcasses, cockroaches, cats, rats, pigeons that enter through the open roof, and other animals that penetrate the fence."
One soldier noted that the kitchen manager tries his best to maintain standards, but the aging infrastructure makes it impossible: "The kitchen manager deserves every appreciation, but it is clear to everyone what is happening in the complex—that is why no one comes to eat."
"We are truly repulsed by the quality of the food due to these conditions," one soldier added. "An inconceivable number of soldiers arrive at the base, and no one in the IDF seems to care. It is time to provide an immediate response and rethink the entire complex. The situation must not continue like this."
Walla's editorial desk contacted the IDF Spokesperson for comment. According to soldiers at the base, they were informed this morning that the IDF has decided to send an inspection team to examine the situation in the kitchen complex.
