A leading security and social force: Major General (res.) Uzi Dayan joins the Likud primaries
Upon entering the election campaign, Dayan declares that he proudly raises two central banners that combine national and social resilience: the security banner and the social-educational banner.
Major General (res.) Uzi Dayan, former GOC Central Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Head of the National Security Council, has officially announced his candidacy in the upcoming Likud movement primaries. Dayan brings a wealth of military and security experience to the political arena and emerges as the most senior security figure and, in practice, the only general who will run on the Likud list for the Knesset.
Alongside his distinguished security background in the IDF and the defense establishment, Dayan is known as a first-rate social and educational activist. He is the founder and president of the "Sderot Conference for Society," which promotes social resilience and the reduction of gaps in Israel, and serves as the chairman of the "Hugay HaSayarot" (Scouting Circles) — a youth organization that has been shaping the future generation for decades based on values of leadership and knowledge of the people and the land.
Upon entering the election campaign, Dayan declares that he proudly raises two central banners that combine national and social resilience: the security banner and the social-educational banner.
Major General (res.) Uzi Dayan stated:
"The resilience of the State of Israel relies on security and on quality, values-based education for future generations. I am running in order to harness the command, strategic, and social experience I have accumulated for the sake of fortifying the security and the social-educational future of the State of Israel."
