A campaign created with artificial intelligence invites to purchase tickets for a show at Yarkon Park. Those who leave details on the fake site may lose control of their bank account.
In recent days, a fake campaign has been circulating on social networks inviting people to purchase tickets for a Sarit Hadad show, created using artificial intelligence. This is a phishing campaign that leads to a fraudulent website: those who leave their details there receive a call from a representative who requests a verification of details and an OTP code in real time — allowing them to take over the victim's bank account.
"We have already seen such an attack in the past when Eyal Golan was the focus, and now it is Sarit Hadad and Bank Leumi," said Matan Gidinian, founder of the Fisherman app for preventing fraud and spam. "It is very important not to click on the link, not to leave credit card details, and not to share codes that arrive via SMS with anyone."
"The network is flooded with fake tickets for Sarit Hadad's performances at Yarkon Park," the production team for Sarit Hadad told mako. "You need to pay attention and not fall into the trap. Ticket sales are exclusively through Tel Aviv box offices."
Scams surrounding singers' performances have become a common method, and in the last six months, fans of Eyal Golan and Osher Cohen have also been victims of similar campaigns. In the cases of Golan and Hadad, according to the details provided, the attackers tried to appear more credible by using logos of various banks. Golan and Cohen have filed complaints with the police.
