A Decade Together: All the Details on Cristiano Ronaldo's Wedding in Portugal
A year after a proposal featuring a diamond ring estimated at $5 million, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are set to marry next week. The celebration will take place in Madeira, with a reception at the luxury Savoy Palace hotel.

A year after proposing with a stunning diamond ring estimated at approximately 5 million dollars, 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo is set to marry his fiancée, 32-year-old Georgina Rodriguez, next week. The couple, who have been together for a decade and share children, will hold the ceremony on the island of Madeira, where the football star was born and raised.
Reports from overseas indicate that the couple will finally formalize their relationship next Saturday, with the ceremony taking place at 15:00 at the cathedral in the capital city of Funchal. The couple has spared no expense, reserving the luxury Savoy Palace hotel for their wedding reception. A source familiar with the arrangements noted that hotel guests have been informed that two floors, along with several bar areas, will be closed for the event on Friday and Saturday.
Ronaldo, who previously played for Manchester United and currently competes in the Saudi Professional League, met Georgina, a Spain native of Argentine descent, in 2016. He proposed to her in August of last year. The couple has four children. In October 2022, they announced the heartbreaking loss of one of their twins during childbirth.
"The heart is broken. This is the greatest pain that can happen to a parent, and only the birth of our little daughter gives us strength, hope, and joy," the couple stated at the time.
Following the World Cup, where the star was eliminated in the round of 16, the couple has maintained a low profile to focus on rest. Last week, they were spotted on a family yacht vacation in Mallorca, with Rodriguez still wearing her signature luxury ring. In an interview with Piers Morgan last November, the footballer mentioned that they had planned to marry after the World Cup, saying: "I hope to arrive at my wedding with the championship trophy." While that specific goal was not met, he clarified that Rodriguez is the only woman he has dated and with whom he truly wants to build his life.
