Police chase on Highway 6 ends with the seizure of 2 kg of cocaine

A proactive police operation near the Beit Kama junction escalated when a suspect vehicle attempted to flee, colliding with another car. Following a brief pursuit, the suspects were arrested, and authorities recovered a significant quantity of cocaine, ecstasy, and several mobile phones.

What began as a police pursuit on Highway 6 concluded with the successful seizure of cocaine and ecstasy. During a proactive operation conducted by Southern District detectives, the 'Sa'ar' unit, and the Southern National Guard overnight between Sunday and Monday, a large quantity of narcotics was recovered from a vehicle near the Beit Kama junction. Three suspects were arrested and taken to the Be'er Sheva police station for questioning.

As the operation commenced, the driver of the suspect vehicle attempted to escape, struck another vehicle, and fled the scene on foot. Police officers pursued and successfully apprehended him. Two additional suspects were located inside the vehicle.

A search of the car revealed two slabs of a substance suspected to be cocaine, weighing a total of 2.2 kg, along with 14 grams of a substance suspected to be ecstasy and five mobile phones.

The three suspects, all 22 years old and residents of the Bedouin sector and Tel Sheva, were taken into custody. Following their interrogation, they were remanded, and they are expected to appear in court today.
