Highway 6

A proactive police operation near the Beit Kama junction escalated when a suspect vehicle attempted to flee, colliding with another car. Following a brief pursuit, the suspects were arrested, and authorities recovered a significant quantity of cocaine, ecstasy, and several mobile phones.

A 14-year-old took his parents' car without permission and sped along Highway 6. Traffic police tracked the vehicle in real time, blocked its path, and documented the tense encounter.

14 teams and 4 firefighting aircraft are operating at the scene to contain the fire spreading rapidly due to the winds. Highway 6 has been blocked in both directions near the Daniel Interchange and Highway 1 has been closed eastbound. The Fire and Rescue Services called on the public to avoid arriving in the area.

A truck trailer caught fire on Highway 6, near the Kiryat Gat interchange. Firefighters who arrived at the scene identified the trailer as being completely engulfed in flames, alongside an immediate danger of the fire spreading to nearby brush areas. There are no casualties in the incident.

Clal Insurance has increased its stake in the Highway 6 northern section franchise to 24% after acquiring an 8% share from the Noy 2 fund for 165 million shekels. The company expects an annual return of 9% to 11%.
