"Divine timing": Yedidim volunteer rescues dogs locked in a car at a gas station
Dogs were locked in a vehicle at a gas station on Hebron Road in Be'er Sheva while their owner was refueling. A Yedidim volunteer who happened to be on-site rescued the animals quickly using specialized equipment without damaging the vehicle.
Dogs that were accidentally locked in a vehicle in front of their owner at a gas station on Hebron Road in Be'er Sheva were rescued safely and quickly last night (Sunday).
The incident occurred while the owner was refueling her vehicle and the doors locked automatically. Upon receiving the report at the Yedidim organization's call center, dispatcher Tal Shoshani summoned volunteers to the scene. Eli Habusha, a local volunteer who was already at the gas station, arrived for the rescue operation and, using specialized equipment, freed the dogs without causing any damage to the vehicle.
The volunteer described the sequence of events: "I was on my way back home from a rescue and stopped at the gas station closest to me. As if by divine timing, an emergency call came in for the exact same station I had entered. I ran to assist the woman whose dogs were trapped while she was refueling. I rescued them quickly and easily, and they are safe. The woman praised the Yedidim organization and expressed her gratitude for the good people one meets along the way."
