A Children's Meal with a Message Against Boycotts
The "Ha-Mexikani" chain and the "Knafei Dror" association are launching a joint initiative to encourage social courage and combat boycotts among children during the summer vacation.

Precisely during the summer vacation period, when regular frameworks disappear and social interactions change, many children may experience feelings of loneliness, alienation, and exclusion. Based on the understanding that a kind word or a simple invitation to play can change an entire day, the "Ha-Mexikani" chain and the "Knafei Dror" association are launching a joint initiative aimed at encouraging social courage, strengthening mutual responsibility, and providing children with tools to deal with the phenomenon of boycotts.
For many children, summer vacation is a time of freedom, entertainment, and experiences. But alongside the joy and excitement, there are children for whom the break from school routine intensifies the feeling of loneliness.
Without daily meetings in the classroom, during breaks, and in joint activities, children facing social difficulties may feel they are left out of the circle. Boycotts and exclusion do not disappear during vacation and even manifest more strongly.
The message that comes with the meal
The initiative will take place in all 44 branches of the "Ha-Mexikani" chain across the country, where families and children will be able to enjoy a special children's meal including a main dish, side dish, drink, and a social activity pack with games and coloring pages containing messages encouraging friendship and caring. The price of the meal is 39 shekels, and in branches with BADATZ kashrut, the price will be 41 shekels.
On the packaging, the message will appear:
"See a boycott? Be the heroes who don't stand on the sidelines! An invitation to play and sharing in a conversation can change a child's day."
The goal is to encourage children to pay attention to those left alone, to show the courage to approach a child standing on the side, and to understand that even a small action can create a significant change.
In addition, the number for the counseling and support center of the "Knafei Dror" association will be printed on the packaging: 074-7117700 — a center providing a response to children, teenagers, and parents dealing with boycotts, loneliness, or social difficulties.
Orit Raz, CEO of the "Knafei Dror" association, stated:
"Boycotts and loneliness do not disappear during summer vacation. Precisely during this period, there are children who may feel lonelier than ever. If we manage to encourage one child to notice a friend who is on the side, invite them to play, or open a conversation, we can create a significant change."
Orit Padlon, VP of Marketing for the "Ha-Mexikani" chain, added:
"We wanted to use the chain's platform to convey a message of friendship, inclusion, and social courage to children and families. Sometimes a small gesture can change someone's day."
