Producer of 'Friends' in a film about the journey of October 7 survivors
This coming October, on the third anniversary of the massacre, the documentary film 'The Bridge' will be released in North America, documenting the journey of ten survivors of the attack to a music camp in Los Angeles, where they sought to process the trauma they experienced. Among the producers: Kevin Bright from 'Friends'. 'Nothing has moved me more than seeing these young survivors use music to process their trauma,' he stated.
On the third anniversary of the October 7 massacre, the documentary film 'The Bridge' will be released in North America, following ten survivors of the attack who went to a music camp in Los Angeles as part of their rehabilitation process. The film, produced by Kevin Bright from 'Friends' and directed by Brad Allgood, follows ten survivors who traveled from Israel to Los Angeles to participate in the Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp. There, they performed alongside mentors from bands such as Guns N' Roses, Van Halen, and Black Sabbath, as part of their process of coping with the trauma they experienced following the attack.
'It was an honor of a lifetime to bring a group of ten October 7 attack survivors to Hollywood for an unforgettable and life-changing experience,' said David Fishof, CEO of Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp and one of the film's producers. 'Seeing them pick up instruments, stand on a stage, and find their voice again after experiencing the unimaginable — that is the power of music. We are excited to bring these survivors back to the United States, Canada, and cities around the world for screenings, talks, performances, and concerts, alongside memorial events, so that more communities can see their strength and be part of their healing process.'
The idea for the film was born after Fishof visited Israel following the October 7 attack. At the funeral of hostage Yotam Haim, Fishof saw his brother, Tuval Haim, play a drum solo before placing a pair of sticks on his grave. Following that moment, he decided to fly a group of Israeli musicians who survived the attack to Los Angeles. Fishof documented the experience and later added director Brad Allgood, producer Kevin Bright, and songwriter Diane Warren to the project.
'Music has a way of reaching people that words simply cannot,' said Bright. 'I have spent my career telling stories that connect people, and nothing has moved me more than seeing these young survivors use music to process their trauma, rebuild their confidence, and reclaim their joy. This film is proof that even after the darkest moments, healing is possible.'
