Bereaved father brutally attacked after walking his dog
The victim, a father who lost his daughter in the October 7 massacre, was attacked following a confrontation between his dog and another dog. Police quickly located and arrested the two suspects. The court has extended their detention.
Two residents of the Old City of Acre in their 20s were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of attacking a resident of Haifa who lost his daughter in the October 7 massacre.
The investigation reveals that the victim was walking with his dog when it got into a fight with another dog. The owners of the second dog claimed their pet had been attacked and, in response, violently assaulted the man, causing him injuries.
Police successfully tracked down the two suspects and raided their homes in the Old City of Acre. Both were arrested and brought in for questioning, after which they were remanded in custody.
The court granted the police's request to extend the detention of both suspects by four days. The police stated: "The Israel Police shows zero tolerance towards manifestations of violence and bullying in the public sphere and will act with determination to bring the lawbreakers to justice."
